Federal offices, the post office and banks will not close for the Easter holiday, but state, county and municipal offices will.
The city of Goldsboro will observe the Good Friday holiday this Friday. All services, including trash pickup, scheduled for that day will be serviced today.
State offices will be closed Friday as well.
All Wayne County offices, including the landfill and convenience sites, will be closed Friday. The landfill also will be closed Wednesday as normal since it is one of the county departments that operate on a four-day work week. The landfill and convenience sites will be open as normal on Saturday.
All county offices will be open on Monday. County employees who work a four-day week, and would have been off this Friday anyway, have until May 30 to take their Easter Friday holiday.
Mount Olive, Pikeville and Fremont town halls will be closed Friday.
The Mount Olive recycling center will operate on a regular schedule Friday and Saturday. Friday's trash pick up will be moved to Friday and the regular cycle will be back on schedule by Wednesday.
The Goldsboro/Wayne Transportation Authority will operate on a holiday schedule on Good Friday.
The bus service will operate from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The van service will operate on its normal schedule.
Passengers requesting van service for April 22, 23 and 25 must call and schedule transportation no later than 2:30 p.m. today.
