Fish fry day

Owen Jackson, left, and George Woods prepare the batter for frying at the Wayne County Shrine Club's fish fry this morning at Herman Park Center. The event is designed to raise money for the club's charitable causes, including the Shriners Children's Hospitals. Plates are available from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Take-out plates can also be picked up at Roberts Machine Shop in Mount Olive.
