Officials with the Wayne County Sheriff's Office are asking for the public's cooperation in providing information on the whereabouts of suspects of a recent robbery at the residence of an 86-year-old Rosewood woman.
Photos and video were captured by a surveillance camera of the three male suspects believed to be involved in the April 4 robbery.
The suspects fraudulently gained entry into the home by one of the men posing as a salesman.
The man came to the door and stated that he was opening a vinyl shop and wanted to show the homeowner some samples.
According to investigators, the man made the statement "You look like a nice Christian woman."
The woman let the man and one other in her home.
While one male held up a piece of vinyl, a third male sneaked into her home where he stole a briefcase containing cash, investigators said.
Investigators said the woman probably never saw the third man enter her home. The men were in the home for probably 15 to 20 minutes, said investigators.
The men were traveling together in what was believed to be a white, four-door Chevrolet Silverado Crew Cab L/S 2005 to 2007 model.
Anyone who may know the identity of these suspects is requested to contact Investigator Rick Farfour at 919-731-1497 or Crimestoppers at 919-735-2255.
