Architect Jim Davis' vision for the Wayne County Veterans Memorial is quickly taking shape across from the County Courthouse. Contractors from D.S. Simmons will be working until the project is finished, which is projected to be this summer. The monument will have a pavilion, flags, a tribute to Seymour Johnson Air Force Base and list of names of people from Wayne County who have died for their country.
