Stoney Creek Church will perform an outdoor drama, "Journey to the Cross," on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, April 8-10 and April 15-17, with performances starting nightly at 7:30 at the church.
The drama, which will include 20 different sets, will cover the extent of Jesus' ministry, including his final days, death and resurrection.
More than 300 church members are involved in this year's cast and crew . The outdoor drama is geared toward teenagers and adults because of the graphic scenes of Jesus' death, organizers said.
"There's nothing like it in this area," said Mary Beth Williams, the church's administrative assistant. "It helps us focus back on what Easter is really all about. Even though the bunnies and eggs are a lot of fun with the kids, the true Easter story is about our Savior who rose from the dead."
People attending the 90-minute drama should dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes.
On nights of inclement weather, the drama will not be held. For reservations, call 735-3916.
