Woman caught shoplifting
Loss prevention officials from Belk's Department Store in Berkeley Mall and an officer from Goldsboro police observed a woman stuff over $800 worth of clothing into a a child's diaper bag around 12:30 p.m. on Monday. As the woman, Martha Barahonafigero, left the store, she was stopped by authorities. Ms. Barahonafigero admitted to stealing the merchandise and told police she had no identification.
Ms. Barahonafigero was charged with larceny and placed under a $1,000 secured bond.
