The Wayne County Museum on William Street is extending its hours to give the public more opportunity to view the entries in its Human Relations Month Poster Contest.

The exhibit will run from today through Feb.18.

The contest is an annual event sponsored by the the city and county. Its theme this year is "Unity."

The library will be staying open late on Thursday, Feb. 17, until 8 p.m., with last entry at 7:30, in addition to our regular hours --Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m, Wednesday through Friday from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. and Saturday from noon until 4 p.m.) to give people more of an opportunity to view the art work.

Students in grades K-6 from public and private schools are encouraged to submit posters on their definition or explanation of "Unity". The winners are recognized each year at the City of Goldsboro-Wayne County's Annual Human Relations Awards Banquet.

Prior to the recognition banquet, all of the posters submitted are displayed in order for the community, families and friends to view and enjoy.
