Carjacking, robbery suspects arrested
On Jan. 27, Goldsboro police officers responded to 300 Block of Virginia Street for an apparent robbery.
The victim stated he had been beaten and robbed and his vehicle had been stolen.
The victim was transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries and then was released.
The victim's stolen vehicle was located a short time later on the dead end of Pearson Street where it had been burned.
Through the investigation, two suspects were developed, Tammy Ray Ferrell, 39, and Kenneth Bernard Dixon, 34.
Ms. Ferrell was arrested on Jan. 28 in the 700 block of North George Street on outstanding warrants charging her with kidnapping, robbery with a dangerous weapon, larceny of a motor vehicle, burning of personnel property, financial card fraud and assault inflicting serious bodily injury.
She was placed in the Wayne County jail under a $200,000 secured bond.
Dixon is currently being sought for having outstanding warrants for the same charges as Ms. Ferrell.

Arrest made in four-wheeler theft
Christopher O'Neal Jones, 22, Lime Street has been arrested for the Jan. 13 theft of a Yamaha Banchee four wheeler from a business located in the 1900 block of 117 South bypass. The business reported someone cut the fence and stole the four wheeler that has a listed value of $2,700.
The four wheeler has been recovered and returned to its owner. Investigation is continuing and additional arrests are possibly pending.
Jones has been charged with first-degree trespass, injury to personal property, felony larceny and felony possession of stolen property.
Jones is being held at the Wayne County jail under a $15,000 bond.
Man wanted
Donald Ray Thigpen, 43, of Maple Street, is wanted by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office for felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle and felony obtaining property by a false pretense.
