Beaten, robbed

Christopher Alan Williams, 24, Seymour Drive, told Goldsboro police he was beaten and robbed of $150 by three suspects he had been riding with.

Williams said the car stopped at a convenience store on U.S. 70 West. He said that when he got out of the car that the three suspects started beating him with bottles and took the money.

Police said that Williams refused to cooperate or provide more information.

Home invasion

Jacqueline Dixon Battle, 58, Isler Street, told Goldsboro police that two black males had entered her house through an unlocked back door. She said the men, who wore black masks, red shirts and jeans, called her by name, pushed her down and then took $100 out of a Bible.

The two men also had two pit bulldogs with them, she said.

Thefts

*Soria Esperanz Bahazar, 51, Haywood Drive, told Wayne County Sheriff's deputies that someone broke into her car taking $1,300 in cash, a $20 purse and $200 cell phone.

*Neil Stuart Weeks, 55, O'Berry Road reported to Wayne County Sheriff's deputies the theft of a 9mm semi-automatic pistol, two magazines and holster valued at $600 from his truck. Also taken were a GPS valued at $350, $250 in cash and a number of blank checks.

Where's the money?

A South Slocumb Street woman was advised by Goldsboro police to secure a warrant against a suspect who had hidden her money.

Shirley Johnson, 44, reported that she had given the suspect $900 in cash to hide at her (Ms. Johnson's) home. The next morning the suspect denied any knowledge of the money and later tried to sneak out of the house without revealing where the money was.
