Multiple accounts of shots fired on area roadways
A little after 1 a.m. Saturday morning, unknown suspects fired a shot into an occupied vehicle on the 500 block or North Leslie Street, according to the report.
The incident took place while the vehicle was stopped at a stop sign. The two victims in the vehicle opted not to share details of the suspects with the police. Neither of the victims were injured during the incident.
Another report was filed by a man who claims a vehicle pulled in front of the car he was riding in on Indian Springs Road in Mount Olive near 3 p.m. The man claims the suspects in the vehicle began firing at him and the driver. According to the report, one of the victims said he was shot in the leg as he fled the scene after the shooting began.
The victim refused to comment to News-Argus staff on the incident. Law enforcement officials never saw the second victim or his vehicle.
