Federal, state, county offices closed Thursday

State and federal government offices will be closed Thursday in observance of Veterans Day, along with most local government offices and the Wayne County Public Schools, as well as Wayne Community College.
The city of Goldsboro's offices will be closed. All services scheduled for Thursday will be serviced today.
A Veterans Day Parade will be held in downtown Goldsboro, starting at 11 a.m. on Center Street.
Wayne County offices also will be closed. In addition to county offices, the county landfill and waste convenience sites also will be closed. The landfill will remain open to commercial haulers only.
County offices, except those on a four-day week schedule, will reopen Friday.
Postal Service offices will be closed on Thursday and most banks also will be closed.
The Mount Olive Town Hall will be closed on Thursday. Trash pickup service in Mount Olive will not take place Thursday. Trash will be picked up on the west side of town on Friday and on the east side of town on Saturday.
Pikeville Town Hall will remain open and no service interruption is expected. Fremont Town Hall also will remain open. Services will continue as scheduled.
