Woman injured in motorcycle crash

A Goldsboro woman was injured in a traffic accident after being cut-off by a white truck that later fled the scene.

Brenda Lee Harper, 45, of Oak Circle Road, was driving a motorcycle north on N.C. 111 and the truck was traveling south shortly after 6:30 a.m. Tuesday. The truck turned into a parking lot in front of the oncoming motorcycle causing Harper to immediately slow down. She skid for 88 feet before laying down the bike and skidding 94 more feet. She was then tossed from the motorcycle, according to the Goldsboro Police Department.

Goldsboro Police Maj. Michael West said the truck paused briefly after the accident and then left the scene. Harper was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital where she was listed in fair condition Wednesday afternoon.
