City announces Halloween date

The city of Goldsboro will observe Halloween Friday, Oct. 29, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Mayor Al King has asked that those households that wish to participate in trick-or-treat festivities leave a porch light on -- parents are asked to tell children to avoid homes that do not.
