Shoes stolen
Quramel Crawford reported to Goldsboro police Friday about 7:30 p.m. that an unknown suspect had thrown a brick through a glass door at his A Street home and taken eight pairs of shoes, valued at $100. Damage to the door was estimated at $50.
Checks stolen
Danny G. Lewis of Odom Mill Road reported to Goldsboro Police Friday that a known subject had taken nine Wachovia checks from the East Holly Street residence of his mother Annie J. Lewis and forged and uttered them at several locations, including Piggly Wiggly and Carlie C's IGA, for a total amoungof $252.91.
Breaking and entering
Clairissa C. Gervin, Central Heights Road, reported to Goldsboro Police Friday that an unknown subject had entered her residence through the front door and taken several items, including a laptop, a flat-screen television, an iPod Touch, two cameras, a Sony Playstation and a .22-caliber rifle. Damages totaled about $2,450.
Armed robbery
Callen B. Hammal, East Oley Drive, Garner, reported to Goldsboro Police Saturday about 2 a.m. that an unknown subject had pointed a gun at him and stolen $920 in cash from him at a William Street parking lot. Hammal said he was pacing back and forth in the parking lot when a black man dressed in black approached him and demanded money. Hammal said he gave the suspect the money, and that the suspect then ran west on Hooks River Road.
Fire hydrant damaged
The city of Goldsboro reported to Goldsboro Police at about 4:20 a.m. Saturday that a fire hydrant on Quail Drive had been damaged. COst of damages was estimated at about $1,000.
