Goldsboro police arrest two for attempted murder

Two suspects in connection with an Aug. 26 shooting have been arrested.
Kelvin James, 21, Pittman Street, and Trevis Kinsey, 21, Fussel Street, were arrested Wednesday and charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill and discharging a weapon into an occupied vehicle.
According to the police report, Kinsey and James were in a vehicle following another vehicle that they opened fire on. One of the people in the vehicle was hit and taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital and then to Pitt Memorial Hospital.
James also had previous charges of possession with intent to sell marijuana and felony probation violation. He is being held in the Wayne County Jail under a $640,000 bond. Kinsey is being held under at $275,000 bond.
