Man found hurt on side of U.S. 117
On Sunday at approximately 3:40 a.m. the Goldsboro Police Department, along with the Wayne County Sheriff's Office and the N.C. Highway Patrol, were notified of a Hispanic male subject lying near the 1800 block of U.S. 117 South. The victim, Carlos Ivan Carrizales-Carrizales, 17, of Mount Olive, was found on the east side of the northbound lane. The investigation is ongoing as to a hit and run or a possible assault. Two found with weapons at school
Sylvester Townsend, principal at Dillard Middle School, reported two female students, ages 12 and 13, brought weapons to school on Friday. According to the police report, one student had a 12-inch butcher knife in her bookbag and the other had a 10-inch metal tool in her bookbag.
Juvenile petitions were filed on both students.
Investigations
These incidents were investigated by Goldsboro police:
*Tony Ray Rouse at Kangaroo Express on West Grantham Street told police four black males took six 12-packs of Mountain Dew and two 12-packs of Pepsi and left the store without paying. The men were traveling in a white SUV.
*Dollie Newell of East Elm Street, reported the theft of a food stamp card valued at $178 from her home on Friday.
*A break-in was reported at a South Slocumb Street home while the resident was at the hospital. Gamara Sherice Lofton told police a door had been kicked in, causing $100 worth of damage to the molding, and $100 in cash was taken.
*Robert Haase of South Marion Drive reported identify theft. He said an unknown subject obtained his credit card information and ordered $1,007 worth of items on the Internet, which were shipped to a Florida address.
