Through her attorney -- and during a time when the jury was not in the courtroom -- the wife of ex-Marine Cesar Laurean said she would exercise her constitutional right to not testify against herself or her husband if called as a witness in the first-degree murder case currently unfolding in Wayne County.
Upon hearing the news, Onslow County District Attorney District Attorney Dewey Hudson lifted her subpoena and told the court the state would not call her to the stand.
