Summer art camper John Davis admires his finished piece of tie-dyed cloth that he made during a summer arts camp held at the Arts Council of Wayne County. During the day last week, campers worked on creating different pieces of African and Central American art, with projects featuring feathered masks and decorative clothing. The summer camp lasts eight weeks between June 14 and Aug. 6, from 9 a.m. to noon, at the Arts Council of Wayne County, and features everything from music around the world to creating pop art. The camp is meant to expose the youth to different cultures, learning about the art, traditions, and social life of people from all walks of life.
