Tommy's Road Elementary School fifth-graders Conrad Tubbs folds the North Carolina flag with Mueen Muharram holding its end while David Dickens lowers the American flag in the background at the end of the school day. The students raise and lower the flag every school day. The students said serving as the school's color guard makes them feel a sense of responsibility and makes them feel patriotic.
