Son of Goldsboro native is academic, athletic all-star

Organizers of the the High School Academic All-American Game have announced that Josh Huestis, the son of Goldsboro native Poncho, was to play for the National All-Stars in the game held Saturday in Azusa, Calif.
Hodges is the grandson of Jo Ann White-Thompson and great-grandson of Alberta P. White, both of Goldsboro.
The game featured some of the country's finest high school basketball players who also have excelled in academics and contributed to their communities. Their average grade-point-average is 3.6.
