The Eastern Carolina Vintage Farm Equipment Club will hold its ninth annual Antique Farm Equipment Days show Friday and Saturday at the Wayne Regional Fairgrounds on 117 South. There will be antique tractors, hit and miss engines and other related farm equipment.

Opening ceremonies will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, with a parade of power following. There also will be kiddy tractor pull, a kiddy pedal tractor race, as well as a barrel train for kids to ride and other games.

There also will be working demonstrations of engines as old as 100 years, live music on Saturday, 50/50 drawings both days, and plenty of food.

The Eastern Carolina Vintage Farm Equipment Club is a non-profit organization that gives four $500 scholarships each year to county Future Farmers of America students going to college. The club, which began in 2001, has 100-plus members and meets at 7 p.m. on the first Thursday each month at the Cherry Research Farm.
