Two shot in Mount Olive

MOUNT OLIVE -- Two people were shot late Saturday evening at the corner of East Hillsboro and Conner streets, Police Chief Ralph Schroeder said this morning.
Schroeder said police were not ready to release the names of the victims as investigation continues.
One man was shot at the edge of the mouth, but was not severely injured, and was treated and released, he said.
The other victim was taken to Pitt Memorial Hospital.
"He was in pretty serious condition," Schroeder said.
Detective Sgt. C.J. Weaver was working the case this morning, and was interviewing people with interest in the case.
Police were not sure yet of a motive for the shootings.
