Student wins black history quiz bowl

Christopher Ophila, an eighth-grader at Norwayne Middle School, completed 24 round and earned first place honors in the African American Quiz Bowl held last month.
He was one of 16 Wayne County Middle School students that participated in the county competition sponsored by the NAACP. Chris answered all of his questions 100 percent correctly. He came home with first place and an assortment of prizes.
