Church theft

Pikes Crossroads Church, in the 2000 block of Pikeville-Princeton Road, was reported broken into through a window and burglarized on Saturday morning, the Wayne County Sheriff's Office reported. Taken were a music equipment, a small television and a computer, collectively valued at about $6,500, authorities said.

Occupied residences shot

*A home occupied by Korinthia Atkinson, of 410 E. Spruce Street was damaged after being shot multiple times early Sunday morning, Goldsboro police said. Ms. Atkinson, 24, was uninjured, but police recorded about $850 in damages to windows, frames, walls and blinds, according to a report.

*Richard and Melissa Lundblad of 1204 Stephens Street reported $500 in damages to a wall of their home on Sunday morning, after it was shot by an "unknown suspect," according to a Goldsboro police report. Neither person was injured when a bullet entered an outside wall and was found on a bookshelf, according to a police report.
