Former students, educators, family members of students and area residents participated in the annual "Senior Americans Day" at Goldsboro High School recently.
The Student Government Association hosted the event, which included presentations by students from the school's theater arts, foreign lanuages and art departments. A luncheon was also served, and there were performances that included the chorus, an interpretive dance and poetry reading. The GHS WISH Center staff also led a presentation on healthy lifestyles.
This year's theme was "Unity Equals Strength."
"This annual event is always special for students and guests," said Harold Barnes, GHS social studies teacher. " Our SGA looks forward to hosting this recognition event each year."
