Plow accident autopsy
State officials have completed the autopsy of a Clingman Street man who was killed by a snowplow while walking on U.S. 70 near N.C. 581. Marc Glenn Walston, 21, died of multiple traumas consistent with being struck by a snowplow, according to the medical examiner's report. A toxicology report showed no alcohol or drugs in his system.
Suspicious fire
A fire that damaged brick home at 1003 Ivey Court is under investigation, the Goldsboro Fire Department reported. The house, owned by the Wayne Investment Corp., of Hardingwood Drive, suffered about $5,000 in damages, police said. The fire was reported on Saturday night around 6 p.m., according to a police report.
