The Carolina Games Summit will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Wayne Community College. This hybrid event will once again deliver industry speakers, video game tournaments, concerts, exhibition booths, cosplay, educational sessions, and trading card games.
The entire family can enjoy a day filled with learning and fun as they explore all that the video game industry has to offer. Attendees can learn how games are created and how to break into the industry from actual game designers, as well as explore the available education and career opportunities by speaking one on one with schools and universities.
For those interested in playing, a variety of popular tournaments will be held for gamers, as well as areas for free play. Then between competitions, speak with numerous game developers who will be exhibiting or speaking in live sessions throughout the day. Gamers can enjoy all their favorite platforms including arcade, computer, and console games with both tournament and free play options available. Tickets are $10 and cover entry into any tournament, and are available online. Tickets will be available at the door only if they are not all presold or reserved.
