Kiwanis club holds annual Christmas present auction

The Kiwanis Club of Goldsboro continued its holiday tradition with an auction of Christmas presents at the meeting at Lane Tree Golf Club on Monday night.
Wrapped presents were auctioned by auctioneer Rick Smith, bringing in about over $460.
There were many items on display, sold as at silent auction, bringing in $1227. The money will be divided among serveral local holiday Christmas charities including The Empty Stocking Fund, the Salvation Army, Operation Santa Claus, the Junior Woman's Club Childrens Shoe Fund and others.
Kiwanian have carried on this tradtion for more than fifty years.
