Schools to close early in anticipation of inclement weather

Wayne County Schools officials have announced all schools will close two hours early today due to anticipated deteriorating weather conditions. Storms moving into the area have the potential to produce heavy rains, damaging winds and isolated tornadoes. All after-school programs have also been canceled. This includes athletic events, practices, tutoring and 4-H programs.
