The Parkstown Christmas parade will be held at 3:45 p.m., Dec. 10 at the rural crossroads community in eastern Wayne County.
This is the fourth year of the parade after a 30-year hiatus.
In addition to the parade, there will be free sandwiches and snacks provided to school children. There also will be a special grandstand guest, in addition to the state and federal elected officials who will serve as parade marshals.
And finally, like last year, there will be a fireworks display immediately after dark and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.
This year's parade also will pay special tribute to one of Parkstown's heros, Linwood Earl Rowe, who will serve as honorary marshal. Rowe, the owner of Earl's Place, is being honored for his many contributions to the community.
