Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus are teaming up with the Goldsboro Junior Woman's Club for the annual Santa's Workshop on Saturday, Dec. 12, at the Brick Village on Patetown Road.

Santa's Workshop will keep children busy with crafts, cookie decorating, face painting, sing-alongs and the chance to have warm cocoa with Mrs. Claus. Each child also will have the opportunity to make a Christmas card that will be sent overseas to brighten the day of a serviceman or woman. Organizers say the annual event is a "wonderful way to bring the family out for Christmas fun and give back to the community."

Junior Woman's Club president Jamie Livengood and event chairwoman Meredith Adams say they have been "overwhelmed" with the amount of support they have received for the program.

"With the incredible support of our local community, we are able to have successful events. It is truly those individuals and businesses that we owe much thanks and appreciation to," they said in a written release. "When we work together with the common goal of giving back to the community, you cannot help but to succeed. It is empowering to be a part of such an outstanding group of young women who devote their talents and time to make a difference and have fun."

Santa's Workshop will be held at two different times: 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., and tickets are still available. Children's admission is $6 and $3 for adults. You may contact Ms. Adams to reserve your tickets: 759-3146 or Kate Daniels 920-5442.
