Eureka VFD gets grant

The Eureka Volunteer Fire Department has received a $9,600 grant from the North Carolina Volunteer Fire Department fund to buy new equipment.
The equipment is purchased using matching funds and must be approved by the Department of Insurance Office of State Fire Marshal.
The Eureka department has received a total of $113,639.07 from the Volunteer Fire Department Fund over the past 22 years since the program began.
The grant funds must be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to an approved amount.
