A new thrift store has opened its doors in downtown Goldsboro.
Trinity Mission Thrift Shop is located at 111 S. Center St. and sells everything from clothing to furniture to toys -- anything that is donated.
Proceeds from the shop will go toward opening a homeless shelter in Goldsboro sometime next year, said James Bland, staff. The nonprofit group will provide various services to the homeless, including shelter and food.
"Our prices are very reasonable," Bland said. Shirts and blouses are a steal at $1 each. And jeans -- for both men and women -- go for just $1.49. Coats are $3.99 and dresses cost $2.99.
"We even have men's suits for only $5.99," Bland said.
There's no fitting room so make sure you know your correct size.
The shop will take any kind of donation. "We take it like it is and if it's not usable, we throw it away," Bland said.
Donations are taken during regular business hours, which are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The phone number is 330-4614.
