Mount Olive College concert Tuesday night

MOUNT OLIVE -- The Mount Olive College Symphonic Band with give its fall concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Southern Bank Auditorium in the W. Burkette and Rose M. Raper Hall.
The concert will feature two popular marches -- "National Emblem" by E.E. Bagley; and "Valley Forge March" by Karl L. King, conducted by music education major Matinzicio Edmondson. The Symphonic Band will also perform "When Thou Art Near" by Johann Sebastian Bach.
This season will also mark the concert debut of two chamber groups within the band. The Mount Olive College Brass Ensemble and Woodwind Quartet will perform works by Henry Purcell, Harold Walters, and Franz Schubert.
