Goldsboro City Council will discuss two annexations and get an update on the Union Station project this evening.

Two public hearings, both regarding noncontiguous an-nexation requests, are the only items, aside from the consent agenda, scheduled to be addressed by the council.

The first hearing involves a noncontiguous annexation request from J.W. Hunter Construction Inc. and involves a 1.817-acre piece of property on the north side of Windsor Creek Parkway.

The second annexation request, from Adair, LLC, involves property on the south side of U.S. 70 West between N.C. 581 and Millbrook Village Lane.

Those who wish to speak about these requests will be given the opportunity at tonight's meeting.

The council is also expected to receive an update on Goldsboro Union Station during its pre-meeting work session from North Carolina Department of Transpor-tation officials.

Tonight's meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. in the Historic City Hall council chambers and at the end of it, as is the council's custom, the floor will be opened to the public for comment. Those who wish to speak are asked to limit themselves to three minutes.
