Man shot
An Olivia Lane man was shot early Sunday morning after he stepped outside his front door, Goldsboro police reported. Donald Sutton, 45, reportedly heard about five shots coming from the area of Carver Drive. One of the shots struck him in the right side of the head, near his ear. Sutton told police he saw a number of people outside when he heard the shots, but did not know who would have fired at him, according to the report. Sutton was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released.
