Wayne Christian School has recently been granted accreditation from both the Association of Christian Schools International, ACSI, and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
It joins more than 13,000 schools and school systems throughout the U.S. and overseas that are affiliated with SACS.
Founded in 1987, Wayne Christian, located on Patetown Road, represents 97 churches and six Christian denominations among its families. It currently has 476 students enrolled in its K-5 through grade 12 program, and provides childcare for about 60 children from infants to age 4.
"The decision to attain accredited status brings many benefits to WCS and its students," said Lynn Mooring, administrator. "Curriculum quality has been verified, school policies refined, student achievement documented and future directions strengthened. Accreditation is a tool to help a Christian school achieve overall excellence."
