Schools change daily schedules

Wayne County Public Schools announced revamped opening and closing times for 2009-10, with a handful starting earlier in the fall.
Most only changed slightly, but several will start between 15 and 30 minutes earlier than last year.
Neighboring Greenwood Middle and Meadow Lane Elementary schools are among those starting earlier in the fall.
Greenwood formerly started at 7:45 a.m., will now begin at 7:30 a.m. and dismiss at 2:30 p.m. Meadow Lane, which previously started at 8:20 a.m. and let out at 2:30 p.m. will go to an 8-3 schedule.
Brogden Middle school, formerly starting at 7:45 and dismissing at 2:25, will operate from 7:30-2:30 in the fall.
Edgewood Community Developmental School moves from 8:30-2:45 hours to a 9-2:30 schedule.
Spring Creek Elementary will also shift by 15 minutes, now starting at 8 a.m. and dismissing at 3 p.m.

Eastern Wayne High, 7:50 a.m.-2:55 p.m.
Eastern Wayne Middle, 7:20 a.m.-2:25 p.m.
Edgewood, 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
Fremont STARS Elementary, 8 a.m.-3 p.m.
Goldsboro High, 7:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
Grantham, 7:55 a.m.-3 p.m.
Greenwood Middle, 7:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
Meadow Lane Elementary, 8 a.m.-3 p.m.
Mount Olive Middle, 7:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
