Shingles stolen

Greensboro resident Mark McCall reported Tuesday that 20 bundles of tweed-colored shingles were stolen from a construction site in the 1800 block of Maple Street, Goldsboro police said.

Vending machine toppled

Hilda Bedford, an employee of Creative Sewing, reported Tuesday that someone had overturned a Pepsi vending machine at the business. The soda machine sustained about $100 in damages, Goldsboro police said.

Purse taken at retailer

Kathy Young of Old Grantham Road told Goldsboro police her pocketbook was stolen from her shopping cart Tuesday afternoon at the Spence Avenue Wal-Mart, authorities said. Ms. Young was shopping at the time, according to the report. The missing purse and its contents were valued at $385, police said.
