The Association of Educational Office Professionals at Wayne Community College recently honored two of its own, naming Ray Burrell administrator of the year and Dori Fraser as educational office professional of the year.

Burrell, head of the college's Business and Computer Technologies Division, was also recipient of the 2009 John R. Larkins Award for contributions by a state employee to human and race relations in the workplace and community. He is a founder of the college's Minority Male Mentoring Group and has been active with organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club and Meals on Wheels.

Mrs. Fraser is a WCC graduate who started her career at the college as a recruitment specialist, moved to administrative assistant and is now the coordinator for the college's program on Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. In addition to serving on many college committees and volunteering for campus activities, she has been an active member at the organization's local, district, and state levels, and is beginning her second term as the president of the WCC AEOP.

As a member of the state association, Mrs. Fraser will now compete at the district level for educational office professional of the year.
