$70,000 in heroin seized in Goldsboro

The Goldsboro Police Department's Support Services Division made a major drug arrest Tuesday, seizing $70,000 worth of heroin on Fairview Circle and arresting two people for trafficking.
Charged with possession of the narcotic were Kristopher Douglas Battle, 30, of 1104 E. Pine St., and Keisheika Taiwan Bowden, 32, of 906-C Fairview Circle.
The Support Services Division is made up of the Housing Unit and the Selective Enforcement Unit.
The Goldsboro/Wayne County Interagency Drug Task Force assisted the Support Services Division with the investigation of the individuals charged after the raid was made.
Battle and Bowden were charged with one count each of trafficking in heroin by possession. Bowden also was charged with maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of keeping a controlled substance.
Each is being held in the Wayne County Jail under $300,000 secured bond.
