Survivors to gather for banquet Thursday

Wayne County's Relay for Life activities officially begin Thursday, as volunteers and others gather to honor those who are beating cancer.
The Survivors' Banquet will be held May 28 at 6 p.m. at First Pentecostal Church.
All local survivors are welcome to attend and are invited to bring a a single guest, due to space limitations.
Dinner is free, and entertainment and door prizes also will be provided.
The meal is sponsored by Southeastern Medical Oncology Center, Wayne Radiation Oncology, Saulston United Methodist Church, Wilber's Barbecue, Culligan's and the American Cancer Society.
