The Community Service Committee of the Goldsboro Rotary Club has opened its grant application period.
Local non-profit organizations seeking funding are asked to complete an application form by June 1. These forms are available from club president Leslie Weil at 734-111 ext. 228 or from club secretary Gary Smithwick at 734-2351. The application form is also available on the club Web site, www.golds bororotary.com.
Grants are available in the range of $250 to $500 and will be awarded through the use of criteria that can be found on the grant application. The Four-Way Test of Rotary will be applied as a review of all applications that meet criteria for funding -- No. 1 - Is it the truth," No. 2 - "Is it fair to all concerned," No. 3 - "Will it build good will and better friendships," and No. 4 - "Will it be beneficial to all concerned?"
