As students ready for the end-of-grade and end-of-course tests, proctors are needed in the public schools, officials say.

Proctors serve as an extra person in the classroom when tests are administered, said Dr. Sandra McCullen, associate superintendent for curriculum and instruction.

"It's usually for three hours in the mornning, but depends on the type of test done," she said.

Volunteers are needed and are asked to contact individual schools and speak with the testing coordinator.
