Accident victims are recovering

A woman involved in a Tuesday afternoon crash was upgraded from critical to good condition, and an infant involved in the crash was also still recovering after being ejected from the vehicle, authorities said.
Sheilena Brown, the driver of a Lexus involved at a crash U.S. 117 at the intersection of Old Mount Olive Highway, had been upgraded to good condition, a Pitt Memorial Hospital spokeswoman said.
The infant involved in the crash, Shakayala James, 1, was reportedly still in critical condition at Pitt Memorial Hospital.
Anita Gail Grantham, who was sitting in the passenger seat of the Lexus, died in the accident.
