Armed robberies
*The Holiday Inn Express was reportedly robbed at gunpoint on Sunday night, when a black male entered the hotel using the security keypad combination, Goldsboro police said. The male, who was not described further in the report, ran out an east-side door of the hotel and escaped, according to the report.
*Austin Herring of Gurganus Road reported just before midnight Friday that four black males started shooting at him at the corner of Sun Valley Drive and Beston Road in LaGrange, the Wayne County sheriff's office reported. Herring reported that $1,450 was stolen from him during the attack, the Sheriff's Office said.
