Armed robbery among indictments

A man accused of a robbery spree using a sawed-off shotgun to steal Newport cigarettes and small amounts of cash was among indictments returned this month by a Wayne County grand jury.
Anthony Jerome Lee, 41, was accused of at least 11 armed robberies at convenience stores, most inside the city limits of Goldsboro.
In 27 separate bills of indictment, Lee was charged with 11 counts of armed robbery, 12 counts possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, two counts of second-degree kidnapping, and four counts of habitual felony offense.
Authorities also charged Lee with eight counts of possession of a weapon of mass death or destruction because he used a sawed-off shotgun.
Others indicted this month were:
*Fidel Urias Gamez, 34, Dobson Circle, conspiracy.
*Ricardo Giovanni Bruinton, 33, two counts discharging a firearm into an occupied property, possess a firearm by a convicted felon, five counts assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.
*Lawrence Richard Cox, 21, operate a motor vehicle to elude arrest, two counts discharge a firearm into an occupied property, five counts assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, misdemeanor drive while license revoked, speeding, careless and reckless driving.
*Jose Martin Morales, 22, Haywood Drive, possess a controlled drug.
*James Frank Johnson, 52, North James Street, possess a controlled drug.
*Meldon Phillips, 36, Stevens Mill Road, possess a controlled drug in jail, habitual felony offense.
*Maya Lamont Airline, 32, Hollowell Street, six counts breaking or entering, six counts felonious larceny after break or enter, six counts possession of stolen goods, possession of burglary tools, habitual felony offense, attempted larceny after break or enter.
*Catherine Renee Muhammad, 32, Hollowell Street, seven counts breaking or entering, six counts felonious larceny after break or enter, six counts possession of stolen goods, possess burglary tools.
*Tarvarus Kenyata Peacock, 30, Westover Avenue, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
*Shawn Cauthen, 39, Fields Street, Kinston, assault by strangulation, assault on female, habitual felony offense.
*Jamie Dareese Cumberlander, 36, Marigold Street, possess cocaine with intent to sell or deliver, possess marijuana with intent to sell or deliver, misdemeanor resisting a public officer, drive while license revoked, violate provisions of vehicle registration, possess drug paraphernalia, habitual felony offense.
*Diego Simone Reid, 41, A Street, possess with intent to sell or deliver a controlled drug.
*Phillip Joseph Goff, 32, Daw Pate Road, five counts misdemeanor hit and run accident, drive while impaired, operate a motor vehicle to elude arrest, resist, obstruct or delay a police officer, habitual felony offense.
*Stephen Blake Myers, 18, Buck Swamp Road, breaking and entering, larceny after break or enter, possess stolen goods.
*Jonathan Phillip Durham, 19, East Andrews Avenue, Henderson, three counts felonious larceny, three counts possess stolen goods.
*Juan Acosta Vasquez, 30, Slick Rock Road, four counts felonious conspiracy to traffick cocaine, trafficking in cocaine by possession, maintain a dwelling for the use of controlled drugs.
*Israel Garcia Vasquez, 22, Slick Rock Road, conspiracy to traffick cocaine, trafficking in cocaine by possession.
*Reynaldo Garcia Vasquez, 29, Slick Rock Road, conspiracy to traffick cocaine, traffick cocaine by possession.
*Robert Gomez Torres, 30, SlickRock Road conspiracy to traffick cocaine, maintain a dwelling for the use of controlled drugs.
*Matthew Jonas Spruill, 23, possess with intent to sell or deliver a controlled drug, possess drug paraphernalia, maintain a dwelling for the use of controlled drugs.
*Krystal Danielle Bryant, 24, Odom Farm Circle, possess with intent to sell or deliver a controlled drug, possess drug paraphernalia, maintain a dwelling for the use of controlled drugs.
*Antonio Makee Spruill, 25, Dollard Town Road, possess a firearm by convicted felon.
*Julian Javon Colbert, 19, Old Grantham Road, felonious larceny, possess stolen goods.
*Tina Leander Holley, 31, West Street, Smithfield, two counts felonious forgery, two counts uttering a forged financial instrument, obtain property by false pretense, attempt to obtain property by false pretense.
*Joel Allen Register, two counts felonious forgery, two counts uttering a forged financial instrument, two counts attempt to obtain property by false pretense.
*Kristin Danielle Neal, 23, Dobbersville Road, financial transaction card theft, financial transaction card fraud.
*Sherry Balance, 52, Koufax Drive, Pikeville, obtaining property by false pretense.
*Stephanie Renee Casey, 36, Butler Road, Dudley, felonious worthless check.
