Man shot

Goldsboro police are investigating a shooting on North Center that injured a local man. Michael Tomorio Weeks, 23, of Evergreen Avenue, was shot Sunday by an unknown assailant in the 800 block of North Center Street. He was transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital and then airlifted to Pitt Memorial Hospital at Greenville where he is in fair condition.

Thefts

*Eric Phillips, 25, Ivey Lane, Pikeville, reported to Wayne County Sheriff's deputies the theft of a $500 dirt bike.

*Stacy Lynn Donahue, 23, Church of God Road, reported to Wayne County Sheriff's deputies the theft of a $4,100 four-wheeler.

*Mary V. Kornegay Jones, 56, Indian Springs Road, Mount Olive, reported to Wayne County Sheriff's deputies the theft of a half-ton gas pack valued at $4,000.

*Anne Walters, 67, Florence Drive, reported to Wayne County Sheriff's deputies the theft of several items including a $250 push mower, $40 weed trimmer, two 100-foot power cords valued at a total of $20, a two and one-half gallon gas container valued at $15 and a $120 trimmer.

*Grady Lane Hux, 43, U.S. 70 East, reported to Wayne County Sheriff's deputies the theft of two shotguns, one valued at $800 and another at $400, and a .22 caliber rifle valued at $250.

*Charlette Thomas, 39, South Herman Street, reported to Goldsboro police that someone had entered her home through a window. Reported stolen were a 32-inch plasma TV, $639; CD play, $60; Game Cube game console, $100; 12 assorted games, $600 ; and three game controllers, $60.

*Shawnterrior Boykin, 18, Carver Drive, reported to Goldsboro police the theft of a $150 pair of Air Jordan tennis shoes, a $40 DVD player, a $30 cell phone and a $60 cell phone.

*Leslie Sasser, 24, Hawthorne Street, reported to Goldsboro police that somebody broke into her home and took a 42-inch TV valued at $800, and a $100 digital camera. Damages totaled $50 to a window screen.

*Joan Mack Atkinson, 64, Tonya Drive, reported to Goldsboro police the theft of several items during a break-in of her vehicle. Taken were a digital camera valued at $200; GPS unit valued at $400 and a $100 hand held game system. Also reported taken was a .38 caliber revolver belonging to Raymond Atkinson Jr. Damages totaled $20 the vehicle's window.

*A $500 video camera was reported stolen from the vehicle of Bobby Scott Shoemaker, 41, Lamp Lighter Circle. Damages totaled $300 to the vehicle.
