The ground is dry and the dust is flying, but that didn't stop Leamon Parks from planting sweet corn Monday afternoon behind Wilber's Barbecue off U.S. 70 bypass. Most garden farmers like to plant their early corn on or around Good Friday. Across the country, more people are planting home gardens due to the high cost of market prices in the stores.
