The North Carolina Agri-tourism Networking Association will hold its spring workshop at the Duplin Winery from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

The workshop will include a tour of the winery, followed by presentations on successful agritourism farms, marketing and hospitality tips and agritourism liability insurance, followed by dinner at the winery.

Cost for the workshop is $20 and includes a workshop notebook and dinner. Early registration by Tuesday is necessary to guarantee a seat for dinner. Contact Bonnie Boyette at 553-4094. Information is online at www.ncagr.gov/agritourism.

Agri-tourism farms and vineyards are some of the state's most popular tourist attractions. From spring and summer produce stands and pick-your-own fields, school field trips, vineyards, fall pumpkin patchs and corn mazes to winter choose-and-cut Christmas tree farms, agritourism farms offer family fun and helps farm families continue production.
